The Indiana School Boards Association empowers school boards with the resources necessary for highly effective governance and advocacy to support exceptional K-12 student learning.
What We Do
A non-profit located in Indianapolis, ISBA provides personalized support and professional expertise to help school boards and school board members govern with excellence. Our services include board retreats, training workshops, legal consultation, policy review, leadership development, superintendent search, conferences and events, advocacy, publications, and more.
Board of Directors
ISBA is governed by a 14-member Board of Directors consisting of 10 region directors and four officers, all of whom are locally elected/appointed school board members.
The Board of Directors meets quarterly and provides strategic direction and oversight for the management, operations, and financial policies of the Association. It also hires and manages the Executive Director.
Staff
The ISBA team works together to provide services to nearly 1,700 school board members across all 290 Indiana school corporations.
Strategic Plan
The ISBA Board of Directors approved the 2025-2028 strategic plan on June 6, 2025.
